After a short snap of wintery windy weather our present guests are enjoying a welcome sunny, calm first day of spring. Fresh air and plenty of walks on our wonderfully clean beaches are the perfect awakening from a winter spent wrapped up inside with the central heating. Thoughts are now turning to the first main holiday of the year over Easter and we look forward to welcoming guests both old and new to East Jordeson during that special time of year for family gatherings.

Spring time is well on its way here in Pembrokeshire with snowdrops, daffodils and spring flowering shrubs well into bloom. Our mild climate encourages early growth although the winds are still quite cold. It’s a wonderful time to take a break.

One very important person (VIP!) here at East Jordeston is John, our gardener, who over the past 13 years has worked tirelessly to transform the scruffy grounds of an ancient working farm into the delightful cottage gardens we now have as a compliment to our cottages. Both John and his ‘best friends’, Angharad and Co.(our small flock of Jacob sheep) keep the paddocks and grounds perfectly groomed.

With our cottage building refurbishments now behind us we can look forward to a peaceful year for our gardens to flourish and I’ve no doubt that praise from our guests will be heaped onto our sprightly 70 year old friend who deserves all the credit. Thank you John for all your hard work – as always much appreciated.
