If you’re driving along the Ridgeway on a clear day you’ll see the Preseli Hills in the distance to the north. Although it’s a fairly long drive from East Jordeston, we’d definitely recommend a visit if you’re keen on walking.
The landscape is primarily moorland, a world away from the nearby Pembrokeshire Coast, but it’s a great place to go for a picnic or walks. During cold winters, snow often blankets the Preselis and locals head to the hills to go sledging!
If you do decide to venture to the north, we’d suggest visiting the Iron Age Village of Castell Henllys and the neolithic burial chamber Pentre Ifan. If you want to pick up some food on the way, how about treating yourself to some delicious filled Spanish baras from Ultracomida in Narberth.
